The rich combination of cocoa powder, ground cinnamon, and vanilla with bananas is fantastic. If you are a dark chocolate lover or your bananas are very sweet, use the larger amount of cocoa powder and the smaller amount of maple syrup (or none at all.) Feel free to adjust the amounts as desired.
Be sure to use very ripe bananas. The skins should have lots of brown spots all over—like a cheetah. Peel and break the bananas into pieces before freezing. I used three medium-sized bananas. Use four bananas if they seem small, or two if they seem large.
3 or 4 servings
3 very ripe bananas, peeled, broken into pieces and frozen 24 hours
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, flavouring, or powder
2-3 Tablespoons cocoa powder
2-3 Tablespoons maple syrup
2 Tablespoons non-dairy milk
