I give detailed instructions for cooking plain hash browns on the stove top in a non-stick pan. Instructions for pizza, cheesy and curry flavoured variations follow. The last two variations, cheesy and curry, are baked in the oven. Any of the variations will cook very well on the stove top or baked. The seasonings are for one potato. Double or triple the seasoning ingredients according to the number of potatoes you are cooking.
I can't find frozen hash browns without oil where I live. If you can find oil-free, frozen hash browns, skip the shredding and squeezing steps and continue with the seasoning and cooking instructions without defrosting first (maybe leave out the water in the seasoning instructions.)
